Course Description

R & J is often taught in high schools and lauded as a great romance.  Take a closer look and you may wonder about two very young people who race into a relationship that ends up killing multiple people, including themselves.  We will examine the play, looking at its sources, language, themes, and characters.  Why does the love story of two teenagers from feuding families have such long-lasting appeal?

**This is a HYBRID class, offered live in the classroom and online via ZOOM simultaneously.  Please choose either the Zoom or Classroom session at the time of registration.

**In class meetings require a separate parking fee of $5/day.  Please collect your parking permit through your CSUSM parking account.  If you do not already have a parking account Parking Services will create one for you upon registration.  You will receive an email from Parking Service which will include your Username, Password and a link to login and purchase permits/packages.  If you’re not sure if you have a parking account or you have one but need your login information, please contact us.
