Course Description

Venezuela developments are moving in fast, confusing, and even contradictory directions following the January 3 capture of Nicolas Maduro. U.S. interests in Venezuela are nonetheless worth a look across the full spectrum of relations between the two countries. In this pop-up lecture, we will examine the context of past and present U.S. relations with Venezuela, with particular attention to U.S. interests in Venezuela and implications elsewhere. We will try to anticipate key issues to watch for the future, and of course address your concerns and questions.  **This is a HYBRID class, offered live in the classroom and online via ZOOM simultaneously.  Please choose either the Zoom or Classroom session at the time of registration.
