- [Course OLLI H.L. Hunley: The H.L. Hunley](https://destinyone.csusm.edu/search/publicCourseSearchDetails.do?method=load&courseId=1435074): During the Civil War, the Confederate submarine, the H.L. Hunley, sank the USS Housatonic in 1864, becoming the first submarine, in history, to destroy an enemy ship. It did not return back to port.
